In Support of the Minority Communities of Pakistan

English translation:

This message is in support of the Ahmadiyaa community of Pakistan. As a responsible citizen of the country I condemn the recent hate campaign towards the community by the religious parties and politicians. Let’s not forget the words of the founder of Pakistan, “…You are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the State.”

“In Mohammed Ali Jinnah’s name and in the name of a united Pakistan, I urge you to spread this message in support of our Ahmadi brothers and sisters. I also urge the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take immediate action against this fanaticism and extremism that is threatening the very fabric of our society.

  1. Islamic teaching is to respect & preserve human life. A human life cannot be erase merely on the difference of religion or worship. Every one has right to lead their livelihood & worship accordingly to their conviction. Ahmedi’s are a useful citizens and force multiplier of Pakistan, killing them ruthlessly is weakening of Pakistan.

  2. Grateful to you for this article

  3. Speaking for oppressed ones worth a lot. Thank you very much for speaking for our rights. With the passage of time I was going to believe that Pakistan has nobody left who can speak for real justice but thank God people like you are in Pakistan.

  4. Pakistan was carved out from India on the basis of protecting the rights of an Indian minority religion. It was founded on the principle of safeguarding the rights of all minorities. The Founder of the Nation pledged protection of equal rights for citizens from religious minorities.
Yet day in and day out we hear of atrocities against Shias, Ahmadiya, Hindus, even between Barelvi and Deobandi which the rulers and Police turn a blind eye to. Parsis have fled this country and many Sikhs native to its soil have been killed. The country itself bifurcated based on West Pakistani racism against Bengalis. When will we learn? When will civilization let alone true Islam reach us?

PS I am a Sunni Punjabi and have no conflicting interests
