We will protect Pakistan!

by admin

We will save Pakistan from terrorists and religious fanatics.

It is a known fact that top generals in GHQ (Pakistan army headquarters) are the benfactors of Jihadi-sectarian militants (ASWJ, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Taliban etc), who have killed not only Shias but also Sunni Barelvis, Ahmadis, Pashtuns and other groups.

Mufti Jafar Hussain’s agitation in 1980 (in the shape of surrounding of Islamabad secratariat for three days at the height of General Zia’s tyranny) was to stop an action – imposition of the Salafi-Deobandi ideology on Pakistan including on Shia Muslims. That incident in history is a great example of how communities can take a united stance to resist the State-sponsored oppression and injustice.

Shia Muslims and other persecuted communities (Barelvis, Ahmadis, Balochs, Pashtuns etc) should expect nothing from the politicians, the establishment or the judiciary, because all of them have proved that their interest lies in continued apathy towards persecuted and target killed groups, if not outright animosity.

At the same time, Pakistan’s Shia Muslims and other persecuted groups must fight the minority self-image. It is our country and we will give our lives to protect this country from Jihadi-sectarian terrorists and their mentors.

We shall, therefore, not ask anyone but Allah for protection or ‘justice’. We will, however, go on protecting this country for the sake of which Pakistan’s Shia Muslims from Fl. Lt. Khawaja Yunus Hassan to many soldiers of NLI to Lt. Yasir Abbas have met martyrdom. “Pakistan banaya thaa, Pakistan bachaen gey” (By the way, this slogan given by Allama Arif Husaini shaheed has been stolen this year by a terrorist-friendly political party). Similar sacrifices for Pakistan have been offered by other groups eg, Ahmadis, Pashtuns etc.
